Pastor Guy Witherspoon
Pastor Guy grew up in Compton, Watts, and South Central Los Angeles. Up until 1985 he
lived a sinful life and then became born again and was called to a street ministry. He entered into formal ministry later that same year and was licensed to preach by Truth Missionary Baptist Church
of Compton, CA January 1988 under the tutelage of Pastor Wesley Booker Austin. The Holy Spirit taught him and God opened doors for him to complete numerous bible programs including a two-time scholarship awardee for the Billy Graham School of Evangelism. He was fully ordained in 1990 by Bethel Missionary
Baptist Church under Pastor John L. Reamer where approximately 10 years later he became the Pastor and continues there today. He attended California State University, Dominguez Hills where he
received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (1991), A Master of Arts in Negotiation and Conflict Management (1993), and a Master of Business Administration (2001). He has served as
an adjunct Professor in the Behavioral Sciences Graduate Program and has designed and taught classes in Managing Race and Ethnic Conflict, Computer Applications in the Behavioral Sciences,
Cross-Cultural Dispute Resolution, as well as Communication and Conflict. He recently graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Religion Institute of Violence Prevention
where he earned several certificates in Gang Prevention/Intervention, Violence Prevention, and Public Policy. God has truly blessed him throughout his ministry to reach both the young and old and he
lives by the motto, "God is Blessing, The Devil is Messing, but I'm Confessing, Jesus is Lord and there is nothing impossible for God!"
